In 2011 we purchased property in the Sandpoint area with the intent of building a residence. Prior to this I was able to inspect a large home being built for a personal friend of mine by Brent and his crew.

I started in the workforce in industrial structural steel and made my way into commercial and residential construction. The company was owned by a perfectionist so I was able to learn first hand the difference between quality and second rate framing. When I first observed my friend’s home I pointed out to him the quality of the framing that was done by Brent.

I asked Brent to frame our home in 2012 based on our own custom drawing with some artistic free reign. Brent not only framed our residence using quality work but he also added some of his own ideas that help to accentuate important parts of our house. Brent not only has the ability for excellent construction but he also has great vision and artistic ability to make a home unique.

Not only is Brent an excellent craftsman, but he is personable and accommodating. We are pleased to call Brent and Tawnie our friends and highly recommend him as a builder.

To Whom It May Concern,

We purchased Lot 3 and had Brent and Tawnie build our vacation/retirement home.We had some references for Brent as a contractor but just to be sure, we hired a local engineering firm to review our plans and make recommendations, which Brent encouraged. Given that we were from out of state and could not oversee the build, we were a little nervous, but Brent and Tawnie delivered a first rate home on time and on budget.

We only visited twice before the house was completed. We were very thankful that Brent and his son are total perfectionists. Tawnie kept us up to date with monthly paperwork and draws; perhaps more important, she went the extra distance to research and to personally check out interior features and fixtures. With her perspective being on-site and with wonderful taste, she offered suggestions and recommendations on upgrades worth the extra money and on interior design and appliances. She also gratefully provided regular pictures of the house being built to satisfy our yearnings.

To take a house from the drawing board to a reality is always uncertain. The Sleeps read our minds on what we wanted and provided what we had envisioned. As a long-time Boy Scout volunteer, I could not recommend a more honest couple to have built our dream home.

We are currently in the process of building a home with Brent and Tawnie Sleep and could not be happier about the people who will be involved in helping us with this endeavor.  Brent and Tawnie are both people who have a high level of integrity, are easy to work with, and have helped us take our dream and make it a reality.  Both of us cannot imagine having anyone better to partner on with this.

The Sleep’s are someone we are trusting with our money, out time and our dreams.  They are trustworthy, have strong character and are quality focused.  The positive intention that both Tawnie and Brent exhibit made this process easy.  We have known the Sleep’s for a number of years and observed their kindness, thoughtfulness and the respect they have shown everyone they come in contact with.  This frankly was one of the reasons we decided to build with them.

When building a home, many decisions must take place and they have been flexible and extremely competent in suggestions or recommendations.  They bring up concerns or thoughts along with recommendations in a professional and compassionate way.

We are so excited to be able to call Brent and Tawnie friends and now neighbors and look forward to a fruitful future with them!
