Brent Sleep is a third generation builder. He was trained in the family construction trade by his father, Robert Sleep, who built custom homes, commercial buildings and various public works projects in north Idaho. He has over 40 years of experience in all phases of residential and commercial construction, including 22 years as owner and sole proprietor of Brentco Structures.

In 2010, Brent’s son Brandon joined the company and Brentco Structures became Sleep and Son Building Contractors. As a commercial framing contractor, Brent specializes in production framing methods utilizing forklift and crane. Company projects have included hotels, apartment complexes, shopping malls, office buildings, residential developments. During its 30 year history, Brentco Structures and Sleep and Son Building Contractors has provided specialized training and employment for about 60 people.

Sleep was born in Sandpoint, Idaho. He is one of 4 sons who continued in the family building trade. He and his wife of 30 years, Tawnie are parents of 2 grown kids and 4 grand children. They reside on the lake in Sandpoint, Idaho, where they enjoy easy access to the many recreational offering of the inland northwest, particularly downhill skiing and water sports.

Sleep is a member of the Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce, serves on the board of Southside Water and Sewer District. He also has volunteered his time for the Long Bridge Swim, Scenic Half Marathon and Winter Carnival.
